Emma Drake LMSW

I believe that acting in our values, coexisting with the discomfort of uncertainty, and practicing acceptance helps us to create a life worth living.

I incorporate evidence-based principles from CBT, DBT, RODBT, ACT, and ERP to help clients make sense of overwhelming emotions, unhelpful behavioral patterns, and negative thoughts. I am driven by working with clients on identifying barriers to living fully and identifying a skillful path forward rooted in resilience, curiosity, flexibility, and joy.

I enjoy working with individuals struggling with OCD or obsessive thoughts, anxiety, perfectionism, and overcontrol in addition to depression and other mood disorders. I have experience working with clients struggling with co-occurring substance use disorders and feel honored to help individuals in various stages of recovery.

My goal is to build a brave, collaborative, and welcoming space in which clients feel empowered to practice vulnerability and exploration.

My belief is that both validation and honest reflection is necessary for effective change. I practice a compassionate, direct, and humor-based approach to encourage clients to lean into their inherent strength and intuition and work toward a meaningful and values-driven life.
